Eric Millerberg Returned to Prison After Stabbing Attack in Cell
Eric Millerberg is back in his prison cell after being stabbed multiple times in his cell. He is awaiting trial for the 2011 death of 16-year-old Alexis Rasmussen.
Millerberg was reportedly with his cellmate when the attack occurred; he was the only one to have access to Millerberg. Police have not released a motive for the attack but note that he and his cellmate are members of the Silent Aryan Warriors, a known prison gang.
He was taken to the local hospital and treated but has since been remanded back to the custody of the prison to await trial. Millerberg's cellmate has a history of violence and is in prison for violating a protective order and two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person.

Millerberg is believed to have killed Rasmussen in 2011. She was a babysitter for the Millerberg family and quickly became a family friend.
Dea Millerberg, Eric's wife, testified that the three of them drank alcohol and smoked marijuana together. She added that Rasmussen began experimenting with harder drugs like heroin and methamphetamine. On the night of her death, Rasmussen showed up at the home to babysit, but Eric injected her with heroin and meth.
Rasmussen began having a negative reaction to the combination of drugs and passed away. The Millerbergs reportedly panicked and dumped her body; it was found six weeks later after one of Eric's gang members gave police a tip about her whereabouts. Both of the Millerbergs were on parole at the time of the homicide and were afraid to go back to prison.
Eric Millerburg is charged with first-degree child abuse homicide, obstructing justice, desecrating a body, and having unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Dead Millerburg is charged with desecration of a human body.
Police believe that the prison stabbing could be related to gang activity but has nothing to do with Rasmussen's death.
