ESPY 2013 Winners: Lebron James Takes Home 5 Awards in Emotional Night
Last night was the ESPY Awards, ESPN's own version of the Oscar's for sports, where the biggest stars from across the professional athletic world get together to celebrate some of the best accomplishments and emotional moments throughout the year of sports.
The biggest winner of the night was Miami Heat NBA superstar Lebron James as he took home his second Best Male Athlete of the Year, and Best Championship Performance, and Best NBA Player as well as two team awards for Best Game (Heat vs. Spurs Game 6), and Best Team.
Also taking home a major award was tennis great Serena Williams, who won Best Female Athlete, her second, with her first being in 2003. She took home Best Female Tennis Player as well.

Taking home the Arthur Ashe Courage Award was television personality Robin Roberts. Roberts is a survivor of breast cancer and MDS, and has not let her diseases hold her back as she became an advocate for cancer awareness.
Winning the Best Moment Award was seven-year-old brain cancer patient Jack Hoffman.
The Nebraska Corn Huskers, Hoffman's favorite football team, allowed the child to get on the football field and play in the second half of the game. The Huskers handed the ball off to him and created a screen as he ran the length of the field to score a touchdown before both teams hoisted him in the air.
The Jimmy V Perseverance Award went to Dick and Rick Hoyt.
Rick was born with severe cerebral palsy and would never walk. Dick did not want that to slow him and his son down and what they could do together. It was at that time Dick decided he would start running marathons while pushing his son Rick in his wheelchair. Together they have competed in over 1,000 races together, including 31 Boston Marathons with their last planned one the scene of the bombings. Now they will come back to race one more in honor of those who lost their lives.
