UEFA Premier League 2016-17 News and Club Predictions: Players Who Will Shine and Stars in the Making this Season

The soccer world is abuzz of favorite players and contender clubs now that the Premier League has commenced. This 2016-2017 season is expected to spawn several stars including those who showcased power shots and lots of promise in the knockout round of the Europa league's past season.

Promising contenders

Paul Pogba is making a name as a prospect to superstardom come two to three years from now. However since Pogba is currently lost in multi-faceted roles and can't define yet which position he is best at playing, it resulted into a variation of superb and sometimes not so good performances. Manchester's willingness to arrange a nine-figure megabucks deal with Pogba indicates appreciation for his potential. After all, a 4-3-3 play for the 23-year old French is a huge gamble.

Dimitri Payet may be sitting out a few matchups but eòxpect Payetmania will resume with West Ham onboard to capitalize on his prolific footwork this season. Payet is also receiving help from newly acquired Andrew Ayew to sank those timely goals. His team-mates Arthur Masauku and goal-setter Slaven Bilic also expressed full support. One indication that Payetmania is here to last for the Premier League is largely due to the a handful of squads who expressed interest in Payet during the pre-season.

John Stones is another young talent on the rise affirmed after moving to Manchester. His role is quite simple yet complicated. He will play center back and go for the win. This is a tall order, but can be justified after he signed to become the most expensive defender in the Premier League battlegrounds.

The 22-year old Stones can be an attack force for Manchester, depending on what he can bring into the plate since he is known to be a huge risk taker. The fearless Stones can either attack with a dint of talent or stupid brashness.

Jamie Vardy's worth is subjected into questions after failing to participate in some European Championships. However, one of the definitive proof regarding Vardy's skills was seen when he closed the season scoring almost all of Leicaster's 38 matches (24 goals).

Another notable trivia is the trailing eleven straight games with a goal. The question lingers on whether the 29-year old center forward can sustain his momentum and contribute to warrant his stay in the squad until his 2020 contract ends.

List of Honorable Mention players

Now there are several stars landing in the Honorable Mention list. They are as capable (or probably better in some cases) to carry their respective teams into the endgame.

N'Golo Kante – the best midfield defender for Leicaster.

Eden Hazard – crowned as the best player in EPL

Kevin De Bruyne – is still tutored by Pep Guardiola, but many are expecting great things from him such as winning the coveted Player of the Year award.
