Eva Longoria Claims Marriage Comments Were 'Misconstrued'
Eva Longoria recently clarified comments she made about her views on marriage, revealing that her words had been "misconstrued."
The former "Desperate Housewives" star, 38, was asked about the possibility of a third marriage during a recent appearance on "Access Hollywood Live" and her response raised eyebrows amongst fans.
"I've been married twice. Been there, done that!" Longoria told "Access Hollywood Live."
In light of her comments, fans immediately began speculating whether the "Ready For Love" producer has sworn off marriage and she recently took the time to address this. Longoria was once married to Tyler Christopher in 2002 and NBA star Tony Parker in 2007.
"I didn't say I would never get married again," she told People.com at Saturday's Eva Longoria Foundation Dinner in Hollywood. "There's nobody in the works now. So, it's not really on my mind. It was very misconstrued."
In August Longoria split from "Ready For Love" star Ernesto Arguello after less than one year of dating. While she is currently not concerned with walking down the aisle, she revealed that she is open to the idea of motherhood, although she refuses to do it alone.
"I'm not one of those women who are like, 'I must procreate!' I think kids are a product of love," she said.
"So, if you find the right person and you want to have a family with that person, then that's when the time is right," she continued. "But ... if I'm 50 and single, I'm not going to go do it myself."
Prior to Arguello, Longoria was linked to NFL star Mark Sanchez and Eduardo Cruz. In July various reports claimed the actress was dating Hollywood actor George Clooney but these reports were false.
"As interesting as the George Clooney rumors are, they aren't true. George and I have been friends for years," Longoria tweeted on July 18.
