Eva Longoria 'Was Not Eating'; Depressed After Divorce
Eva Longoria has opened up about coping with her divorce from Tony Parker two years ago.
The "Desperate Housewives" actress split from Parker in 2011 after reports of the NBA star's infidelity surfaced.
Overcome with sadness at the time, Longoria recounted that her health rapidly declined.
"I was not eating. I was depressed. I was sad. My diet was coffee," the actress told Dr. Mehmet Oz on "The Dr. Oz Show."
"I didn't know I was depressed," Longoria added of the hardship. "I mean, I knew it was a sad moment in my life, but I wouldn't categorize myself as depressed."
Finally, Longoria's lack of energy led her to seek a health professional.
"I went to the doctor to get some blood tests because I said something's wrong," Longoria continued. "And I was just depleted of every vitamin. He said it's as if somebody took a straw and sucked everything out of your body."
Ironically, the 38-year-old revealed that at her thinnest was "the time I got the most compliments, because I was so skinny."
Longoria's lack of appetite resulted in low iron levels and caused her liver to overreact. The actress noted that today, she has restored her health.
Back to a healthy weight, Longoria has also returned to the dating scene following her divorce. The actress was linked to Mark Sanchez earlier this year, but is now believed to be dating her "Ready For Love" co-star Ernesto Arguello.
"They are dating but it is very new," said a source close to Longoria, according to Life & Style magazine. "She enjoys his company and thinks he is a great guy."
However, Longoria denied the rumors of a romance with Arguello.
"Sorry @ernestoarguello is NOT dating me, but u can see who he is dating on #ReadyForLove tomorrow night on NBC after #TheVoice!"
Nevertheless, Longoria and Arguello were spotted holding hands just days later, according to the Huffington Post.
