Lozada, 38, broke things off with ex-NFL player Chad Johnson, 36, one month after they married in July 2012. The professional athlete physically assaulted Lozada after an argument ensued about his infidelities. Last Christmas Lozada announced her engagement to Carl Crawford, the 32-year-old Los Angeles Dodger, one month after revealing that they were expecting a child and now she is revealing how she healed from her emotional turmoil.

"Most of you know my previous story and the turmoil that hit my life a couple of years ago. With the help of God, my life coach @tonygaskins and much needed prayer things turned around," Lozada wrote on Instagram while captioning a Gaskins quote. "I don't post his quotes for 'show,' I post them because this man is my REAL Life Coach. We have serious sessions and I thank you and your wife for being a beacon of hope and light that helped me to turn things around."

She previously spoke to Life & Style about the blessing that is her future husband.

"I had the worst 2012, I thought my life was over," she told Life & Style earlier this year. "It happened so publicly, and then the passing of my brother-in-law. But that entire incident [with Chad] led me to where I'm at now."

She insisted that she would go through the entire ordeal again to get to the positive place in her life.

"I would say my broken bridge led me to happiness," she told the publication. "If I had to do it again, I would because I truly feel complete right now in my life and I wouldn't change it for anything."

According to Lozada, her struggles made her appreciate Crawford even more.

"He came into my life at a perfect time. Everything that happened makes me appreciate him 1,000 times more and he also makes me a better person," she told Life & Style. "I appreciate everything and I thank God every day for my life. I'm really lucky and really, really blessed."
