Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams Continue Relationship After 'Basketball Wives'

Evelyn Lozada, the controversial member of the reality television series "Basketball Wives" who attempted to reconcile with her former friend and cast member Jennifer Williams on the reunion special, revealed that the pair continued their attempt to mend their relationship away from cameras.

After the reunion special aired last Monday, 37-year-old Lozada told VH1 that she wrote a letter to Williams, the former friend who she physically and verbally attacked during the course of season four.

"I sent her an email just letting her know that I meant what I said on the reunion," Lozada told VH1. "I didn't want her to think that it was just a reunion stunt."

The show's antagonist admitted that the pair had sparked some dialogue after the show, but that they were far from the best friends that they once claimed to be.

"She responded. She wished me happy Mother's Day, and we said we would talk, and that was the last of it because I've been all over the place," Lozada told the network that airs the show. "We haven't spoken since then."

Lozada, who is currently promoting her first novel, Inner Circle, is focused on being a better example these days. However, she admitted that it was not easy to overcome her antagonistic ways.

"Initially I was very defensive. When you look at other reality shows there's all kinds of violence, sex and partying," she said. "But then there were boycotts. It was insane. I can guarantee you, things will be different."

Earlier this month, Lozada wrote a letter to herself as a child and vowed that she would improve.

"I cannot promise you perfection, Mija. I cannot say that overnight, I'm going to get it right every time," Lozada wrote in the letter that was published in The Huffington Post. "What I will promise you is that I will always remain conscious that little eyes like yours are watching me and because of that, I will try to be better."
