Evelyn Lozada on New Baby's Features, Motherhood Experience
Evelyn Lozada may not be ready to debut a photograph of her new baby boy, but she is detailing her motherhood experience thus far.
Lozada, the 34-year-old entrepreneur made famous by the VH1 hit show "Basketball Wives," described her newborn son, Carl Leo Crawford Jr., who is less than a week old.
The most adorable thing about him are his perfectly shaped lips and slanted eyes (like his daddy)," Lozada told Hollywood Life of the son she shares with fiance and MLB star Carl Crawford.
While she insists that she is "so in love with baby Leo," Lozada told Hollywood Life about the troubles that most parents deal with concerning newborns: a lack of sleep.
"Carl wakes up every two hours to eat. He sleeps about 6 hours," she told the publication. "I have a bassinet for him, but he sleeps in my bed. I'm supposed to sleep while he's asleep, but instead I stare at the funny faces he makes while he's sleeping! He smiles a lot during sleep time."
Lozada previously revealed she was praying for a baby boy 20 years after giving birth to her only other child, Shaniece.
"Surprisingly, I found out when I had my first trimester screening," Lozada previously told People magazine. "I was about 13 weeks when they told me the sex! I was honestly praying for a boy. I have wanted to have a son for years."
According to Lozada's representative, the former personality on "Basketball Wives"
is focused on her children.
"She's at a point in her life where she'll do anything for her baby," Lozada's rep told HollywoodLife.com. "Her life is all about baby Leo and Shaniece!"
Last year she opened up about the criticism that she may have received for giving birth at her age.
"I think that when God blesses you with a child, then that's the right time. And if people want to say I'm old, then hey that's fine," Lozada told omg! Insider last year. "It doesn't bother me. I think right now is the perfect time for me because I'm older and I feel like I can really enjoy this moment."
