Even After Battery Fixing Software Release, iPhone 4S Still Crippled
The software Apple promised would fix all the battery-draining bugs in its new iPhone 4S has failed to do just that; at least from the consumer's point of view.
Released this past Thursday, many iPhone 4S owners were looking forward to the upgrade called the iOS 5.0.1 that would free their devices from a crippling short battery life experience.
Online forums were swarmed once again by angry users, some of them threatening to stop buying Apple products if Apple failed to fix the problem.

Others, however, have remained faithful to the company expressing confidence Apple would resolve the issue soon.
"I am sure apple will sort it, either a new phone or software update," said sean-g11 in the Apple online forum.
Irate and frustrated users nonetheless are setting the tone for online discussions and as time passes, Apple may be also losing ground to skepticism.
"Does anyone know if this is intentional? Why would the phone remain active over wifi even if all push features have been disabled?" wrote one user.
"Maybe its apple's strategy, so everybody has to buy two 4s - one day and one evening phone," said another.
Apple made a statement on Thursday saying, "The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices. We continue to investigate a few remaining issues."
Summing it up, it seems Apple is asking its customers to wait for a later complete solution.
