Ex-Feng Shui Master Accepts Christ; Calls Chinese Geomancy Devilish
Hong Kong's Tony Chan Chun-chuen, a famed feng shui master, has renounced the Chinese system of geomancy as devilish, and became a Christian after reading the Bible. As he was baptized this week, he changed his name to Peter Chan.
Chan was baptized by Pastor Lam Yee-lok at the Crossroad Community Baptist Church in Tsing Yi Island in Hong Kong on Tuesday, South China Morning Post reports.
"This is the happiest day in my life. It felt like getting married, and I could tell everyone that I am a Christian," he was quoted as saying during his private baptism, attended by about 70 friends and relatives, including his wife, Tam Miu-ching.

Chan's wife testified that she has seen changes in him after his conversion. "He has changed, becoming quieter, happier, and less agitated," she was quoted as saying. "We are more harmonious now, as he is spending more time with the kids."
Chan, who made billions by providing feng shui services to rich people, stands trial next month, on charges of forging a will of the late billionaire Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum. He spent years battling to get hold of her fortune after she died of cancer in 2007. The tycoon, at the time of her death, was chair of Chinachem Group and Asia's richest woman.
The 53-year-old said he was not afraid of going to jail. "There is nothing to be scared of here, because all that matters is under God's plan."
Chan recently told a gathering of Christians that his past was "complete crap," and "has to be flushed away." Feng shui, an ancient Chinese belief system based on harnessing natural and spiritual energies, he said, is fake. "Only Christ is true. If feng shui turns out to be true, it is only the devil playing tricks… you have to be especially careful if they come true, because by creating such effects, the devil's motive is to lure people towards him," The Standard quoted him as saying.
Chan told Commercial Radio this week that his life began to change in March last year, when his Christian driver Henry Tam quit and gave him a Bible. "When I held on to that Bible, I felt like paralyzed … and warmth in my heart … so I asked Henry, 'Can I have a meeting with a pastor?'" he said.
Chan then met Lam Yee-lok, who together with another pastor told him about Christianity.
