Exciting news for 'Criminal Minds' fans this season 11!
"Criminal Minds" will get more serialized this season. The show's creators promised to have more tension and drama for FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, since it was confirmed that few characters will have their own story arc this upcoming season 11.
According to Entertainment Weekly, fan favorite Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) will have a very dramatic season, and will have a major take down in the first episode of the season titled "The Job." The show's creator, Erica Messer, said to EW that Dr. Reid's take down will be "using his brain with a physical thing," and she said it is very disturbing that fans have to turn away.
Gubler also said to TV Line that this season will have a "crazy" arc. According to reports, Hotch's (Thomas Gibson) team will have to solve crimes by not just one serial killer but a group of criminals called "The Dirty Dozen." The arc with these killers will last all seasons long, with the big reveal on the show's finale next year.
Another twist that the show will have, according to Master Herald, is that the agency might have a mole leaking information to the public, and even to the criminals. No further details were given on who or what the goal of the mole is, and fans will be kept on toes on guessing the identity of the agency's mole.
Meanwhile, two women in the team will not be coming back this season. Jennifer Love Hewitt (Kate Callahan) resigned on last season's finale, and A. J. Cook (Jennifer Jareau) is on maternity leave. It was reported that J.J. will be back in episode 6, though. Joining the team this season is Aisha Tyler, who'll play the psychologist Dr. Tara Lewis, and according to fan speculations, will be romantically involved with Dr. Reid.
Criminal Minds season 11 will premiere this Sept. 30 on CBS.
