'Expendables 3' Cast: Sly Stallone Says 'Greedy and Lazy' Bruce Willis Out, Harrison Ford In
Harrison Ford will be replacing Bruce Willis in the next installment of Sylvester Stallone's action blockbuster trilogy, "Expendables 3," after an offer for $3 million for four days of shooting was not enough.
"Willis Out... Harrison Ford In!!!! Great News!!!!!" tweeted Stallone. "Been waiting years for this!!!!"
Willis played the role of CIA agent Church in the first two films, and had a bigger role in "Expendables 2."
Ford will not be take the place of Willis' church, and instead have a new character created for him.
Stallone criticized Willis on Twitter, calling him "greedy and lazy" and that his departure for the third film is "a sure formula for career failure."
The actor has not yet responded to Stallone.
The new movie is expected to be out Nov. 15, 2014 according to Freep.com, and will be distributed by Lionsgate Studios.
"Expendables 2" was released August 2012, and made $300 million starring a slew of '80s and '90s action stars.
Aside from Ford, "Expendables 3" will feature Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, and Milla Jovovich.
Other big names associated with the films are Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean Claude Van Damme, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Terry Crews, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren.
Ford is also open to another Indiana Jones movie, which would be the fifth in the series.
"We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time," he told The Daily Telegraph.
"To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do," the 71-year-old actor said.
