F1 2015 News: Summer Release Date Rumored for Xbox One, PS4 and PC

The latest F1 racing video game may see a PC, PS4 and Xbox One release within the next two months.

The popular racing video game F1 is reportedly being released for public consumption in June this year. F1 2015 is scheduled to be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and is reportedly following the lead of the actual Formula One season by pushing an earlier launch.

While British developer Codemasters has had the tradition of releasing a new F1 game every September or October, new information culled from internal emails leaked in February, point to a summer release date for the F1 2015.

Based on the leaked emails between Codemasters developers, this year's version has been described as "truly stunning" after top-to-bottom re-engineering and recent tweaks to optimize the game to run at 60 frames per second for the new-gen consoles.

Screenshots, which reportedly formed part of a confidential internal email, were also leaked and posted on the F1 Game Memes Facebook page.

With F1 2014 not as well received as its predecessors, this year's game may not only include new features, but graphical innovation, as well, for a better overall end product.

According to Codemasters, they will be releasing regular updates in accordance of the actual Formula One results this season. F1 2015 will be including select 2014 cars alongside new models, with downloadable content updates featuring more 2015 vehicles scheduled for release later in the year.

Special hybrid 2015 racers will also be present, incorporating parts from 2014 and 2015 model cars.

With the actual Formula One season having begun last weekend, racing fans can look forward to a June release date for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with DLC updates scheduled all the way to November 2015 when the Formula One season ends.
