2. Confirmed to Tenth Circuit Without Dissent

In 2006, Gorsuch was confirmed by the Senate to be on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals via a voice vote. Senate Democrats who did not oppose Gorsuch's 2006 nomination included Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Joe Biden and Barack Obama.

According to the Denver Post, individual votes on the Gorsuch nomination "weren't tallied because the nomination wasn't deemed controversial."

In a statement released at the time, Democratic Senator Ken Salazar expressed his support for Gorsuch, stating that while "Gorsuch has spent the majority of his professional life in Washington, D.C., his roots in the state of Colorado are strong, going back four generations."

"I hope that he will live up to the standard set by a long line of distinguished jurists from our state," continued Sen. Salazar.
