Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Made Into Barbies for Wedding Anniversary
Country music’s most famous couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this year by releasing personalized Barbie dolls.
Mattel toy designer Linda Kyaw spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the doll replicas of the celebrity duo who took very active roles in creating the product.
“Tim and Faith sent us photos of every detail, including Tim’s complete suit, piece-by-piece, and Faith’s dress, make-up, and clear shots of her hair preference. The couple knew exactly what they wanted to see in doll form, and they helped is achieve the best possible results,” Kyaw said.
According to the Mattel website, each Barbie doll has hair that consists of seven different shades of blonde weaved together for the symbolic look.
Kyaw reports that the results are satisfying, “Our vision is to capture the true essence of the celebrity- and I think we did just that with Tim and Faith!”
Raised in Jackson, Mississippi in a devout Christian environment, Hill got her start signing in local churches. She has received five Grammy Awards as well as nine Academy of Country Music Awards for her work with music.
McGraw claims three Grammy Awards of his own, as well as Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards.
After meeting during McGraw’s Spontaneous Combustion Tour, the couple married on October 6, 1996. They have three daughters; Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey. Their Soul2Soul II Tour is the highest-grossing tour in country music history, according to Curb Records.
The husband and wife often collaborate on songs, such as the hit single “It’s Your Love” in 1997 and “Like We Never Loved At All” in 2005.
