Good News Holdings LLC and The Barna Group has launched FaithMobile, a cellular service that provides faith-based contents such as Bible verses, ringtones, and inspirational audio and video mobisodes, according to a press release by the company on Dec. 23, 2005.
FaithMobile has signed with major Christian organizations for content including Promise Keepers, a Christian Mens organization with over 5.5 million members, Extraordinary Women with 300,000 members, and Tyndale House Publishing which prints the New Living Translation of the Bible.
FaithMobile and its partners believe in reaching out through convergent technologies.
"In our busy lives where we are all balancing family, work, church, and personal business, it's great that we are now just a touch tone away from the Word," said Jim Sands, COO of Promise Keepers in a statement released by Good News Holdings LLC.
The service is currently available in the United States and the United Kingdom on Cingular and T-Mobile and aims to be on all U.S. carriers early this year.

"We are proud to be providing the platform for the delivery of FaithMobile and look forward to helping create an environment where your faith is no longer limited by physical location, but instead can be accessed by everyone in a converging technological world, commented Ian Dodd, Chairman of Pa3 Mobile, FaithMobiles technology partner.
