'Falling Skies' season 6 news, cast, spoilers: Is season 6 needed?

"Falling Skies" ended its five-year run last night. With so much going on with the show, the only question many had in mind was: Can it give the satisfying end everyone wanted? One episode seems insufficient for the whole show's wrap-up.

The show has definitely had its ups and downs in the past season. With the first two seasons being promising enough to gain a steady following, the show had then hit a rough third season when its plot had become quite questionable and then the fourth season had been a little lost when the focus shifted more on the emotional aspect, which the initial viewers had found uninteresting.

The finale had left fans feeling disappointed by the way the show chose to go about. They felt that there was no originality left anymore with the plot they chose to close the series. Many assumed that perhaps whichever way the show went at this point would not be good enough as a finale, as it was clear there was more to go on from the finale no matter how much they had tried to end it.

According to CarterMatt, perhaps another factor that contributed to the disappointment was the fact that season 5 has had quite a number of intense episodes, probably the most since it had come out. Up to this point, many still wonder why the show chose to end its run, as no definite details have been given. However, there are also those who pointed out that the show was better off leaving on a high note, rather than wait for the fans to get bored and be forced to end the show.

The future of the show seems quite certain for now with no return, but no one can really tell, and it's quite possible that it can return with many other plotlines to go on from.
