'Fallout 4' Gameplay Update: sneak peek shows 'Big Leagues' Perk
Bethesda Softwork recently released a 15-seconds clip of their upcoming game "Fallout 4" and it's no trailer but instead, it's a gameplay sneak peek of the game's "Big Leagues" perk.
According to Game Spot, the very short video, which seemed like a baseball-theme footage, was released in celebration of the World Series. The developer team posted it on their Facebook page and through it, they detailed how players will be able to do double damage with a melee weapon. In the video, the description of "Big Leagues" reads: "You now do double damage with a melee weapon, and gain a chance to cripple your opponent, or grand slam their head clean off!"
The video then quickly shifted showing a protagonist holding a beefed up baseball bat which is used to smash the heads of the enemy with just one blow. It looked absolutely brutal but it worked. But while smashing zombies with just a bat sounds exciting, gamers will need make an effort in order to get to the perk.
As noted in Game Rant, "Big Leagues" perk will require players to achieve level 42 first along with a strength rating of 2. This means that they will not be able to access the perk early in the game. It will also have 275 separate perk levels which will really keep the gamers busy before they can grab the two-handed blunt instrument that can bring massive damage.
Also, as seen in the video, the perk will bring gamers to Diamond City and the post-apocalyptic streets of Boston which is known to be one of the largest baseball capitals in the world. One of the places featured is the Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox. And although it has not been detailed yet by Bethesda on whether the setting will be included or not, there's a big chance that gamers will be able to set foot in Fenway Park.
"Fallout 4" is set to be released on Nov. 10 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
