'Fallout 4': VR Version to Debut at E3 2017

Bethesda's "Fallout 4" will get a VR version. Pete Hines, Bethesda's vice president of PR and marketing, recently confirmed that a demo version of "Fallout 4 VR" will be unveiled during the company's press conference at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017. He also teased that the virtual reality version of their post-apocalyptic role-playing game will "blow your mind."

In an interview with Hip Hop Gamer (via GameRant) at PAX East 2017, Hines revealed that he had recently spoken to "Fallout 4" lead designer Todd Howard about the game's VR version. Howard reportedly called the VR version of "Fallout 4" as the "craziest thing you've ever seen."

According to Hines, Howard said, "Fallout 4 VR is the most incredible thing you've ever seen in your life. You can't even imagine what it's like playing in VR and how realistic it looks with everywhere you turn your head."

The VR version of "Fallout 4" for PC on the HTC Vive is slated for release this 2017. However, a specific date has yet to be revealed. It is also still unclear whether or not the video game will also be playable on other VR headsets like the Oculus Rift or the PlayStation VR.

Since the game's VR version is scheduled for a proper release this year, the version that will be featured during Bethesda's E3 2017 press conference is expected to be a bona fide gameplay demo. It is anticipated to show what the gaming community can expect from the game.

Aside from "Fallout 4 VR," Bethesda is also expected to officially announce at the E3 press conference the other video games it plans to release in the near future. Though the company has yet to reveal its official E3 lineup, fans expect upcoming games such as "The Evil Within 2" and "Wolfenstein: The New Colossus" will also be unveiled at the conference.

"Fallout 4 VR" is set to release sometime in 2017.
