'Fallout 4' News: 1.9 Update to Bring Better Graphics, More Mod Features

1.9 Update set to be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of 'Fallout 4' next week

A big update is set to be rolled out for "Fallout 4," and it will be introducing new features that can make going through mods easier and the game even more spectacular.

Beginning with the visual enhancements, both PC and PlayStation 4 Pro can look forward to upcoming additions making the Commonwealth Wasteland even more beautiful for them.

PS4 Pro owners can expect support for their preferred platform to finally be provided. The effects of the added support will be immediately visible as draw distance will be improved, enabling players to see world elements such as trees and other inhabitants of the Commonwealth in even greater detail.

Other changes that will be evident once the PS4 Pro support-carrying update is installed will come in the form of Godray effects looking better and resolution being improved, according to a recent post on Bethesda.net.

As for PC players, they will be getting the High-Resolution Texture pack also via "Fallout 4's" upcoming 1.9 Update. Once activated, the High-Resolution Texture pack is expected to display the hauntingly beautiful landscapes of the Commonwealth better than before.

Moving on now to the soon-to-be added mod tools, these new features should help players quickly sort through the available alterations they can use for the game.

For instance, the Highest Rated and Most Favorited filters will now come with additional sorting options, while the Mod Details page will also include some extra statistics, according to the notes included in a separate post on Bethesda.net.

Bug fixes and other adjustments are also coming to the open world role-playing game courtesy of the 1.9 Update.

PC players can already check out the different features included in the 1.9 Update via the Steam Beta, while the full version of the update will be made available for all platforms sometime next week.

More news about the additions coming to "Fallout 4" should be made available in the very near future.
