'Fallout 4' News: Project Scorpio Patch Still Expected

Still no date known for when the Project Scorpio patch for 'Fallout 4' will be made available

There may be at least one more important patch released for "Fallout 4" in the future, and it is one that could make the open world role-playing game playable on a new platform.

Microsoft is expected to finally reveal more about the Project Scorpio console in the coming months ahead of its official release that is currently slated for the 2017 holiday season.

With this new console set to hit the market in the not-too-distant future, it looks like one of the games that will be playable on it will be the latest installment of the "Fallout" franchise.

As director Todd Howard told Glixel last year, there are already plans in place to update "Fallout 4" for Project Scorpio and "Skyrim Special Edition" is expected to receive that patch as well.

Since Microsoft's upcoming console is expected to be quite the powerhouse, the post-apocalyptic title could be in line for a significant visual upgrade that may be enough on its own to get players interested in paying another visit to the Commonwealth Wasteland.

In related news, it also seems as though there may be a different type of "Fallout 4" experience that fans can learn more about soon.

Speaking recently to Hip Hop Gamer, Bethesda vice president for PR and marketing Pete Hines teased that the virtual reality version of the aforementioned game may be one worth watching out for.
