Fallout 4 Update 1.4 Gives Gamers More Settlement Items
Bethesda started rolling out "Fallout 4's" beta update 1.4 on Monday, Feb. 22. The new patch provides players with more settlement items and more.
The update brings the usual general performance improvements and bug fixes, including the Demolition and Grim Reaper perks, as well as a number of bugs that stall progress in quests.
"Fallout 4" update 1.4 also adds more art customization to the Workshop and a bunch of new items for settlements. These include new signs, abstract and portrait paintings, more metal and wood doors, and new clutter. There are items under Super Mutant clutter such as meat totems, meat bags, and meat cart. The Raider clutter, on the other hand, adds raider poles, cages, and tents to a player's settlements.
Speaking of settlements, one that is under attack with no response from a player will now display an updated message stating the results of the attack. The Scribe can now also be assigned to consecutive settlements without any problem.
It also adds support for future add-on content, the first of which is Automatron that's set to arrive next month. The March DLC will let players tinker with robots that they can customize with weapons, paints, and even voices. Bethesda previously teased that there will be hundreds of mods to choose from in this $10 DLC.
Mods will be supported in the game soon. Bethesda will officially roll out mod support on consoles "between the first two DLCs," Creative Director Todd Howard told Game Informer during a recent interview.
The "Fallout 4" update 1.4 is still in beta phase, which means it's only available to PC players through steam at the moment. However, it will roll out to the PS4 and Xbox One as soon as testing is over. Bethesda will provide more info in the future.
