'Fallout Shelter' Patch 1.2 Adds Character Piper and Brand New Survival Mode
Game developer Bethesda Softworks has always been proud of their free-to-play mobile game "Fallout Shelter" and it's no surprise why since it has been one of the top downloadable games on iOS and Android since its release.
And now, they are giving back to their loyal gamers through the latest patch they created to make the game even better. According to Latin Post, Patch 1.2 for "Fallout Shelter" has already been released and it's an update that brings different and extended features that will fix some bugs found in the game.
The highlight of the update is said to be the addition of a new character. Gear Nuke noted that Piper from the upcoming "Fallout 4" will now be part of the game. However, it will only be exclusively available in the App Store for iOS.
Along with Piper are five free lunchboxes which is something that gives a little more extra for the iOS exclusive. Aside from Piper, Bethesda added in a mysterious character who randomly appears to give bottle caps. And since he just pops out of nowhere, catching him will give players caps as a reward. The source also noted that there will be lootable enemies and the addition of ominous music playing in the background of the lunchbox menu. There will also be new sound effects.
Patch 1.2 also brings a brand new Survival Mode to the game. In a report by Digital trends, the new mode will really challenge the ability of the gamers. The resources will decrease at a faster rate, dead Dwellers will not be able to come back to life and incidents will bring more devastation.
Another addition that gamers will be delighted in is the new Vault-Tec network. Through this new network, players will be able to save their Vault online and then continue any Vault experiment on other devices. It has really given gamers a more frequent and easier access to the game.
