Farrah Abraham - Making an Adult Movie 'Ruined My Life'
Former "Teen Mom" Farrah Abraham finally admitted that making an adult video was not the best decision she made and added that it "ruined her life." Abraham is currently on VH1's "Couples Therapy" and said she is receiving a great deal of therapy about her life and advice about how to have a healthy relationship.
"It made it hard to have friends and a private life and to trust family, who I feel use for money," Abraham told In Touch Weekly. "If I went back in time, I would not have done it. The sex tape ruined my life!"
Abraham made the video eight months ago and initially denied that she had participated in the video. Then she finally did admit that she had participated in the video, which she said her partner James Deen released without her knowledge. Finally, Abraham admitted that the video was made in private and she didn't expect it to go public. Yet it has earned her a great deal of fame and money. It cost a great deal, though, according to Abraham.
"Knowing my sex tape was out there for everyone in the world to see … was overwhelming. I wanted to hide my face and not go out or pick up my phone. Therapy helped me understand I can't continue experiencing life the way I have been, that I'm more special than sex tapes," Abraham explained. "Hearing others tell me my worth is all based on my body … I'm stronger than that."
She recently revealed that this year she was more focused on her mind than her body, which may mean less plastic surgery and more time with daughter, Sophia.
"Woohoo, 2014 is coming up and I have a lot of new New Year's resolutions," Abraham said in a Keek video. "I think it's more about my mind and soul than my body, so I'm more excited for 2014 for those reasons. Strive for the things that you're scared to try."
