Farrah Abraham Music Video Released Along With Memoir (VIDEO)
"Teen Mom" sensation Farrah Abraham has released her first music video in conjunction with her personal memoir. The 20-year-old reality star is seeking to cement her place in the entertainment industry now that "Teen Mom" has concluded its final season.
Abraham, the single mother to daughter Sophia, recently released her memoir, "My Teenage Dream Ended." The book depicts Abraham's life and the loss of her boyfriend, and Sophia's father, Derek Underwood, who died in a tragic car accident before Sophia was born.
Fans of the "Teen Mom" franchise have seen Abraham struggle with Underwood's death. Now her music video includes images of Sophia sitting on her dad's gravesite, which some have criticized and have said should have been kept private.
Others have outright slammed Abraham's single, "On My Own," which talks about Underwood's death. "I'm the push behind the swing/I know everything we wanted, what we strived for/I wish you could be with me…" are just a few of the lyrics in the song.
Abraham has openly discussed what it's been like to be a single parent coping with the loss of a partner. "Every year we go to Derek's gravesite," she told The Mom's View last month. "We take pictures, we record it, and I have a whole baby box for Sophia with letters and pictures telling how and why things happened, and why I'm here alone today."
Even though she originally talked about being a chef and has taken some cooking courses, it's clear that Abraham wants to remain in the spotlight and entertainment industry. Her memoir, "My Teenage Dream Ended," was released last week to the delight of her fans, and her first singles are meant to be an accompaniment to the book.
