'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 1 Finale Plot News: The Deadliest Episode

With the finale of "Fear the Walking Dead" soon approaching, it was hinted that the upcoming season will bring lots of action.

The finale will reportedly push the story closer to the companion series, "The Walking Dead." With that, it was said that a major character will die before the season ends. It will also exponentially increase the number of deaths compared to the previous episodes of the season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Erickson, the showrunner of "Fear the Walking Dead," shared some details about the episode to come. He explained that it will be the season's deadliest episode. He said, "There's a ticking clock. Travis, Madison, Daniel, Alicia and Chris are going to find out that their community isn't safe anymore. They're not going to have the protection that they thought they thought they would [with the National Guard], and they still don't have their family back [with Nick, Liza and Griselda, the latter of whom they think is still alive]."

He said that since Travis was not able to save Nick, Griselda, and Liza, Daniel will have to find a way to get the group where they need to go.

Erickson shared details about how this tries to connect with the companion series, "The Walking Dead." He said, The idea is that this groundswell of the turn grows exponentially and it's trying as best we can to imagine what happens in Atlanta and in the comic originally and figuring out the steps that took."

He also explained that the second season will continue toying with the concept of how Rick came to be in "The Walking Dead."

The "Fear the Walking Dead" finale titled "The Good Man" will air this Oct. 4.
