'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Cast Hints on Nick and Travis' Fate

'Fear The Walking Dead' Cast Teases What Happens to Nick

After the shocking mid-season finale of "Fear The Walking Dead," fans are wondering about the fate of Nick, played by Frank Dillane.

What Will Happen To Nick?

The first half of "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2 ended with a fire in the hacienda, which left Nick in a reflective state. It caused him to leave his mom (Kim Dickens) and the rest of the group.

The executive producer of the series, Dave Erickson, explained that the fire upset Nick because he believed that it was the safest place for him and his family. In addition, he saw Celia as someone he could connect to.Therefore, the events in the mid-season finale made him question his family's intention.

Erickson stated, "Everyone's struggling to find their place in this world, and I think Nick finally did, or felt like he'd began to, and that's been lost, and that's been compromised. And this is behavior consistent with what Nick would have done in the old world, let's put it that way. There is a certain degree of selfishness in his behavior and his addiction, and that always takes precedence over everything else."

What About Travis and Chris?

However, Nick was not the only one who left Madison. The mid-season finale showed Travis (Cliff Curtis) leaving the group to take care of his son Chris. In an interview with Melty, Curtis teased the future of Travis and Madison.

He said, "I think in Season 1 it's [the responsibility] more of a two-hander and more evenly weighed between Madison and Travis. And in season two she is much more adaptable and pragmatic about killing and is more willing to take action. And so naturally in Season 2 she will emerge as the leader of the group. That's what I am saying. But Travis is the slowest one to adapt and the last one to take action."

"Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2 is expected to return later this year.
