'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 2 Spoilers: Walkers Float on Water, Behind-the-Scenes Featurette released
Just a few more days left until AMC will bring back the horror-drama spinoff series "Fear the Walking Dead" on the small screen for its second season. But even before it could air its first episode, there are already a couple of details about the upcoming season that are made known to the fans. For starters, the show is leaving the land and jumping into waters as the main characters will be staying in a yacht to survive.
According to International Business Times, the first season left off with the new group of survivors escaping the camp and heading to Strand's Los Angeles mansion. That is then where he divulged that there is a hope for survival—sailing away into the sea with his large and deluxe yacht, which he fondly calls as Abigail.
Season 2 will pick up from there which means Nick Clark and his family will be sailing away for safety. However, they will soon discover that it's not as safe as they think even on water. Inquisitr detailed that the walkers could still go after them. It's confirmed though that they cannot swim but they can float and wade through the water. It's also explained that since the zombies do not breathe oxygen, they do not drown and water will not kill them.

But it's not only the walkers who will be making some chaos in the Abigail yacht. The teaser trailer released showed that Nick and his companions will be facing a group of survivors who will do anything to live, and apparently, these people have also resorted to going across the sea. It's expected that surviving in season 2 will be bloody effort.
To further bring up the hype for the upcoming installment of the series, AMC has released a behind-the-scenes featurette. It revealed that the show has been filming in the seas of Baja, Mexico. In there, the production built one of the world's first floating TV studios, as noted in Screen Crush. The video also showed a glimpse of the Mr. Strand's "super-yacht" which is made with several sections for filming purposes.
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will premiere on April 10.
