'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 3 Plot News: Luciana and Nick Switch Sides?

It looks like things are about to get a lot worse for Strand (Colman Domingo) and company come "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3.

Domingo recently spoke to Syfy Wire about the status of the group after all that happened in the previous season of "The Walking Dead" spinoff.

"We left season 2 with everyone sort of scattered, this new blended family with Strand as some sort of odd uncle," the actor said with a laugh.

"I think that this blended family is now a bit fractured. We were all splintered off as we left ... And I think it's going to be a journey to see whether or not these characters come back together, or how they forge ahead with the lessons that they've learned," he went on to say.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 is not going to make it any easier for them as a new villain is coming to make their lives a bit more difficult.

Last year, executive producer Dave Erickson teased in an interview with Comicbook.com the arrival of a "new prominent character" who will have an impact on Strand, Nick (Frank Dillane) and Luciana (Danay Garcia).

"She will become somebody, I think, who can rival any of the powerful characters we've had on the show or will have on the show," the EP said.

Last month, it was announced that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Emma Caulfield will be in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 in a mystery role. Speculations have it that the actress will bring to life the villainess that Erickson teased last year.

In the same interview, Garcia said that the new "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 character will affect Luciana in a way that she will realize not everything is black and white.

"I honestly think that every time somebody makes somebody evil, the really truth is that they are really not that evil," the star said.

"They just have their reasons, that they're making decisions based on their own issues. If you really go down — deep, deep, deep down — they're people that are just doing the best they can," she went on to say.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 premieres in June on AMC.
