'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 3 Spoilers, News: Sneak Peek Photos and Official Synopsis Confirm Luciana Survives

AMC, "Fear the Walking Dead's" network, has recently put up preview photos and the synopsis for the show's third season. It has also been confirmed that after being shot in the season 2 finale, Luciana (Danay Garcia) will survive.

As a recap, fans saw Luciana and Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) leading several survivors to the Mexico-U.S. border in the hopes that they could find help at the end of "Fear the Walking Dead's" season 2.

Unfortunately, they were aggressively welcomed by armed militia with gunshots, and one of their bullets did not miss Luciana. Meanwhile, Nick passed out. Luckily, in one of the season 3 preview photos, it appears that Luciana survived the gunshot.

However, she looks like she is in a lot of pain while she tightly holds on to Nick. Meanwhile, he is shown looking up and seemingly asking for help. The two appear to be trapped in an underground structure.

In another season 3 photo, Nick's mother Madison (Kim Dickens) and Travis (Cliff Curtis) are not looking very hopeful as well, but they are obviously clinging on to one another for solace. In the last photo, Strand (Colman Domingo) looks like he is in deep thought, probably planning what to do next, while his hands are covered in blood.

In the "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 synopsis (via TV Guide), AMC teased that fans and viewers will be brought to the "vibrant and violent ecotone of the U.S.-Mexico border." It also hinted at the characters' underlying task of fixing their families, aside from rebuilding the society.

The network added that while Madison was already able to reach out to Travis, the same cannot be said with Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) who "has been fractured by her murder of Andres (Raul Casso)."

The synopsis also reiterated what fans saw in the finale – that Nick's first decision as leader has put them in such a bad place and even endangered his partner. With that AMC teased, "Nick no longer feels immortal."

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 is expected to return sometime in April.
