'Fear the Walking Dead' Episode 9 of Season 2B aired at AMC; fans can't help but compare the hero Nick with Rick in 'The Walking Dead'.
"Fear the Walking Dead" Episode 8 premiered August 21 at AMC, and fans say that the first offering for Season 2B was worth waiting for. There were even reports, before this episode even aired, that "Fear the Walking Dead" was even better than "The Walking Dead", hero-wise.
Comparing the heroes, the report said that the two arrived at their respective apocalyptic situations the same way: they both woke up without knowing that zombies have already overtaken the world. The difference was that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in "The Walking Dead" shed his morality just to survive his version of a zombie-infested world.
On the other hand, Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) from "Fear the Walking Dead" embraced a new life—from a heroin junkie to an unlikely hero. It seemed improbable for him to survive during the first few episodes of the series, but over time, his character has evolved to a more relatable version of a man in a world overrun by zombies.

Recap of 'Grotesque'
'Grotesque' is Episode 8 in season 2B of "Fear the Walking Dead". This middle season episode starts with Nick desperately searching for answers as his feet lead him to a very dangerous world. In this dog-eat-dog place, he eventually discovers something about his past.
Nick is not a part of his group anymore. He checks out a community with the name "Tijuana", where he starts to reconnect with his father. Creators of the series say that Nick actually feels some kind of adrenaline rush when he is close to death. Showrunner Dave Erickson calls this "junkie logic".
The usual running, crawling, and moaning of the undead was seen, and heard in 'Grotesque'. Since the compound collapsed, most of the front-runners of the show have also moved on, looking for a new place to call home.
What to expect in 'Los Muertos'
In Episode 9, Strand, Madison, and the other members of the group collaborate to move forward. They plan to get as much information as they can to get to a new community. Nick is recruited to do a dangerous assignment.
Erickson also talked about the father figure of the group, Alejandro, played by Paul Calderon in the series. He explained that this is the where Alejandro, who is a pharmacist, starts to shine not just as someone who is respected in the group because of his profession. In this episode, something will be revealed about his past. This revelation will boost his status and make him a central figure of the colonia.

Episode 9 of "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2B will air on August 27, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
