'Ferdinand' Trailer Teaches Nothing Is What It Seems
Animated films have always been a perfect media to elicit attention from kids. When it is combined with talking animals it creates a mesmerizing piece, and such is the concept of Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox's remake of the children's classic, "Ferdinand."
The official trailer for the movie shows Ferdinand, a huge bull with a soft heart who'd rather sniff flowers than engage in bull fights as what he's expected to do. He has a gentle spot for almost everything that he stops himself from charging into a barrel after seeing a bunny in his way.
When he was taken away by those who think he's dangerous basing from his looks, he's going to do everything he can to get back to his family. The teaser is also accompanied by Ed Sheeran's "Castle on the Hill," which is pretty much a return-home song, making it a perfect fit.

For those who think that this looks like it was done before, that's actually true. While the film is based on the children's book "The Story of Ferdinand" written by Munro Leaf, a Disney animated short was also done way back in 1938, which was titled "Ferdinand the Bull."
The big question now is if it will have the same plot as the animated short. It can be recalled that Ferdinand was thought to be a ferocious beast after he galloped wildly when he was stung by a bee, which earned him a ticket to the bullfight in Madrid. It was also his loving nature and his fondness for flowers that brought him back home, so will that be the same?
That will definitely be something to watch out for, although one can assume that more meat will be added to the story as it is going to be a full-length movie. Furthermore, given the advanced animation, there will be more humor, laughter, and of course, moral lessons.
"Ferdinand" marches into cinemas on Dec. 15, 2017.
