Fergie and Duhamel Kick Off Christmas With a Laugh
With Christmas just days away, everyone has been getting into the holiday spirit. For those who thought that Christmas cards were a thing of Christmas past, some may be surprised to find that many celebrities haven’t given up the trend.
Black Eyed Peas singer, Fergie and her husband actor Josh Duhamel have hired caricature artist James Malia to conjure up a new festive greeting card. The greeting card depicts Fergie as Mrs. Clause and Josh Duhamel as a snowman. Their two dogs also earned a spot and are kicking up snow on either side of them.
The singer and her husband were not the only ones to celebrate the season this way however. The Kardashians also sent out a very elaborate 3-D card that depicted the whole family.
Keith Sutherland sent a chuckle in his Christmas card this year where he is depicted attacking a Christmas tree, referencing his attack on a tree in the 2006 documentary “I Trust You to Kill Me”.
President Obama also posed for a Christmas card alongside his wife Michelle, and two daughters Malia and Sasha.
The first Christmas card is said to have been developed in London in 1843 when Sir Henry Cole, on a mission to remind others to help the poor, commissioned John Callcott Horsley to illustrate a card. The card depicted two panels of others feeding and clothing the poor, with a middle panel that reflected a happy family celebrating Christmas.
