Festival of Nations Offers a Taste of the World
Fuller hosts popular multicultural event for the community
Bringing the nations of the world together, Fuller Theological Seminary will be hosting its annual Festival of Nations on April 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the campus mall. The popular multicultural event offers foods, handicrafts, music and dancing, thus giving the community a taste of each nation.
Open to the public, the festival draws more than 1,000 people from the community and seminary each year.
"The annual Festival of Nations is a wonderful opportunity for Fuller to exhibit our hospitality to the city and to reflect our rich multicultural diversity to all in our neighborhood, says Fullers president Richard Mouw, who will welcome the crowd with a few words.
A total of 27 countries will be represented at the festival, all with booths offering samples of worldwide cuisine prepared by Fuller students and staff members. Traditional artwork and handcrafted items will also be on display, some available for purchase. Multicultural dancing and singing will be performed throughout the mall.
Admission is $6 per adult and $4 per child.
Fuller Seminary is one of the largest multidenominational seminaries in the world, with nearly 5,000 students from 70 countries and more than 100 denominations. Fuller provides professional and graduate-level education in its schools of theology, psychology, and intercultural studies.
