'Feud' Season 1 Episode 2 Spoilers: Bette Gets Oscar Nomination; Joan Snubbed

The upcoming episode of "Feud" season 1 will see Bette (Susan Sarandon) and Joan (Jessica Lange) teaming up for the film "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?"

The synopsis of the new episode, titled "The Other Woman," states that Bette and Joan will attempt to work together as production for "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" is ongoing. However, things will not turn out as planned as other forces scheme against the two actresses.

A teaser trailer for the episode has also been released. It starts out with Bette reflecting on the toll her career has taken on her personal life. She has been through so many failed marriages and her own child does not even like her. Joan, on the other hand, is dealing with a problem of her own. She fears that she will once again be dubbed "Box Office Poison."

The clip also teases more sharp words being exchanged between the two divas. Bette tells Joan that she is old news and that everybody thinks so. Olivia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) recounts that the 1962 Academy Awards was when "things took such an ugly turn."

The reviews are in for "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" and they have been positive. However, Joan is mad that all the praise has been directed at Bette's performance. It is made even worse when Bette is nominated for an Oscar and Joan is not. However, the former does not seem to care at all. Joan even toys with the idea of swaying the Academy against Bette. Meanwhile, Bette continues to have problems with her daughter, B.D. (Kiernan Shipka).

The trailer cuts off just before the Best Actress winner is called. But as history indicates, Bette does not win. Instead, Anne Bancroft wins for "The Miracle Worker," and Joan goes up onstage to accept the award in her place--effectively stealing the spotlight from her rival.

"Feud: Bette and Joan" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
