'Final Fantasy 15: Comrades' News: Multiplayer Expansion May Feature Appearances From Some Familiar Faces

Players will work as members of the Kingsglaive in the 'Comrades' expansion

"Final Fantasy 15's" multiplayer expansion, "Comrades," is primarily focused on allowing players to enter the world of the game using their own created avatars, but there are other features included in this upcoming addition that can get fans excited.

Director Hajime Tabata recently sat down for an interview with Famitsu to talk about all things related to the role-playing game, and among the questions he answered were ones related to the new expansion.

Redditor "xXRaineXx" provided translations of Tabata's answers.

First off, Tabata was asked if the expansion was made in part to allow players to also gain an understanding of the "Kingsglaive" movie. According to the director, there were things in the expansion for fans of the movie, which should not come as that much of a surprise.

Detailed over on the game's official website, the characters players create for the expansion were actually members of the Kingsglaive, so there was bound to be some crossover content from the aforementioned movie that ended up being featured in the game at some point.

Going back to the interview, Tabata was also asked if Cindy (whose Japanese name is Cidney as seen in the Final Fantasy Wiki) will be making an appearance in "Comrades." It did not sound like Cindy herself will be in the expansion, though Tabata did share that there were other characters being considered.

For now, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto are expected to be featured in "Final Fantasy 15's" multiplayer expansion but other characters beyond them have not been confirmed.

Fans would likely love to see other familiar faces in the expansion, especially since they may look different from how they appear in the base game.

Players interested in the multiplayer expansion can gain access to it either by purchasing the game's season pass or through purchasing the standalone pack.

More details about the "Comrades" expansion coming to "Final Fantasy 15" are also expected to be revealed ahead of its Oct. 31 release.
