'Final Fantasy 15' News: Additional Story Content Still Coming Next Year
December's 'Episode Ignis' was previously expected to be the last piece of story content released
Developers have provided consistent support for "Final Fantasy 15" ever since it was first released nearly a year ago, and players can expect that to continue even well after the first-year anniversary of the game's arrival.
Director Hajime Tabata was present for a recent Active Time Report that took place at the Tokyo Game Show. During that appearance, he revealed that support for the role-playing game was not coming to an end just yet, Gematsu reported.
Tabata shared that fans have apparently been calling on them to continue fleshing out the game, particularly its story.
Apparently not one to disappoint their fans, Tabata and the other developers have decided to take on that challenge by announcing that the RPG will continue to receive support even into next year.
Tabata did not share exactly what additions they have lined up for 2018, though the director did reveal that they are looking to address parts of the story that may not have been explained as much as they could have been previously.
It is possible that more character-driven downloadable content episodes may be released, and developers may also share more about the world featured in "Final Fantasy 15."
While players wait to hear more about what is coming to the RPG in 2018, they can still learn more about the "Episode Ignis" DLC pack due out later this year.
The DLC pack was featured briefly in a new video shown during the Tokyo Game Show. In the video, fans can see Ignis surrounded by enemies, though it appears he will be getting some help from Ravus Nox Fleuret.
Just like previous DLC episodes, gameplay mechanics are expected to be tweaked for "Episode Ignis," though exactly how developers will change things this time around remains unclear.
The "Episode Ignis" DLC pack will be released for "Final Fantasy 15" this December and more additions are expected to arrive after it.
