'Final Fantasy 15' News: Director Hajime Tabata Clarifies That No Nintendo Switch Version Is in the Works Currently
Devs remain focused on the upcoming mobile and PC editions of 'Final Fantasy 15'
The question of whether or not "Final Fantasy 15" will make its way to the Nintendo Switch has been on the minds of fans for a while now, and in recent weeks, the unresolved matter has been garnering headlines as well.
In an attempt to finally clear things up and share exactly where things are at the moment, director Hajime Tabata once again talked about the subject during an interview with Famitsu.
As spotted by WCCF Tech, Redditor "xXRaineXx" provided a translation of Tabata's recent comments. According to the director, there are no plans to release a Switch version of the role-playing game at this point in time.

Tabata revealed that although he and the other developers love the Switch and are checking to see what can be done for it, there are still no plans to create yet another version of the RPG.
Tabata did state that he is not ruling out the possibility of a Switch version of "Final Fantasy 15" becoming a reality, but for now at least, that is not something they are focused on or are even thinking about.
So what are Tabata and his team focused on at the moment?
As the director also shared in the interview, the new mobile and PC versions of the game are the ones taking up their time at the moment. Those additional versions are expected to help the game reach an even wider audience.
On top of that, the developers are also working on new pieces of content that should help keep players engaged even into next year.
The developers still have a lot on the table, so it is no surprise that they are not really thinking that much about creating a Switch version. Things can change, however, and perhaps next year may bring more positive news for Switch owners who are hoping they can play "Final Fantasy 15" on their preferred platform too.
