'Final Fantasy 15' News: Gameplay Changes, Unique Features Included In 'Episode Gladiolus' DLC Pack Revealed
'Episode Gladiolus' DLC pack to be officially released for 'Final Fantasy 15' on March 28
Gladiolus Amicitia will be the star of "Final Fantasy 15's" first story-centric downloadable content pack, and players will also be able to control him once "Episode Gladiolus" is released.
Aside from putting players in control of Gladiolus, the new DLC pack will also offer players a new way to experience the game as the preferred fighting style of this burly combatant is not exactly the same as the one featured by Noctis.
During a recent interview with GameSpot, the main producer of the game's DLC chapters, Haruyoshi Sawatari, confirmed that Gladiolus is more about mixing it up in battle instead of using different abilities.
Sawatari also noted that there is a special battle element Gladiolus utilizes that can increase the power of his attacks the more he gets hit. These are Glaive Arts that players can perform which can deal plenty of damage once they are executed properly.
Sawatari also shared that the fan-favorite Gilgamesh will indeed be present in the "Episode Gladiolus" DLC pack, though even those who have seen this character throughout the years may still notice some changes now that he is making his debut in "Final Fantasy 15."
There is also a new story waiting to be told in this DLC pack and it will of course focus on Gladiolus and his quest to obtain more power in order to become a better ally for Noctis.
Notably, it may not take players that long to completely finish the challenges presented in the "Episode Gladiolus" DLC pack.
According to a recent report from Game Informer, players may need around two to three hours to finish the full DLC.
After "Episode Gladiolus," players can expect separate DLC packs based on Ignis and Prompto to also be released, though the exact dates of arrival of those are not known just yet.
The "Episode Gladiolus" DLC pack will be released for "Final Fantasy 15" on March 28, and it is available on its own for $4.99 or be obtained via the game's season pass.
