'Final Fantasy 7 Remake' Rumors: Which Other Elements of the Original Game May End Up Being Changed?
Still no release date currently attached to the 'Final Fantasy 7 Remake'
From what has been revealed so far about the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," fans can already see that there are significant changes that will be implemented.
Foremost among these changes is the new, more action-oriented combat system that will replace the turn-based system of the original. But whether the big alterations stop there remains uncertain at this point.
Speaking recently to Famitsu, producer Yoshinori Kitase provided a little bit of insight related to how they are handling the ongoing development of the remake.
According to the translation of the interview provided by Gematsu, Kitase remarked that the popular elements included in the original will not be removed. It is worth noting that Kitase provided that response upon being asked about Materias and the other systems included in the original game, though whether Kitase meant that those will be exempt from being significantly changed still remains to be seen as no more specific details were provided.
This is where things get really interesting when it comes to the development of the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake."
Given that developers have yet to specify which parts of the game they will be changing or leaving intact, there are seemingly different kinds of possibilities on the table.
For instance, the original game famously featured an overworld that players could explore on foot or using different vehicles, whereas many newer role-playing games have opted not to provide that.
Numerous mini games were also included in the original title, enabling players to take a break from the main adventure and try out some other features, though whether these will be retained remains unclear.
Developers have already shown that they will not shy away from applying changes as they see fit when it comes to the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," and fans will just have to wait and see if other important elements will be significantly updated as well.
