'Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age' News: The New Features Included in the HD Remaster

'Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age' will utilize the Zodiac Job System

"Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" is expected to provide more than just graphical enhancements that should make the world of Ivalice even more breathtaking, as there are other more notable additions included that may work to freshen up the experience of playing the role-playing game even for those who still know it by heart.

Arguably among the most significant of the changes to be featured in the HD remaster is the Zodiac Job System.

During an earlier interview with GameSpot, producer Hiroaki Kato talked a little bit about this Zodiac Job System and how it can deliver new experiences to fans. As Kato pointed out, the Zodiac Job System was only made accessible to players in Japan the first time around, so those in other parts of the world still have a lot to learn about this progression system.

Over on the game's official website, developers also indicated that the Zodiac Job System is designed to better align with the player's preferences.

"Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age" will also allow fans of the original game to try out new modes. One of these is the Trial Mode that tasks players with meeting and defeating different opponents spread out across up to 100 consecutive battles. There's also a Speed Mode included, but how this one works is not fully known just yet.

The remastered version of the RPG also features Trophy support now that it is set to be released for the PlayStation 4.

According to Exophase, there are 41 different Trophies that will be included in the game, with some related to defeating mighty bosses and others that can be earned after players are able to successfully pull off impressive feats in battle.

Loading times should also be shorter in the "Zodiac Age," which should come in very handy whenever players go trekking through the game's expansive dungeons.

"Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" will be officially released on July 11.
