'Final Fantasy XV' Will Take 50 Hours to Complete
Hajime Tabata, director of the upcoming "Final Fantasy XV," recently revealed in an interview that the game could take up to 50 hours to complete. This is 10 hours more than what the team initially thought.
The director was featured during a NicoNico Livestream event by Famitsu where he shared some details about the forthcoming RPG game, including a new play time estimate. Square Enix originally estimated about 40 hours to clear the main game but now this has been moved to up to 50 hours. Tabata said the game had more volume than previously expected.
Tabata also talked about Cactuars and Airship, both of which will make an appearance in the game. Cactuars are powerful enemies capable of dodging Shift Breaks. As for airships, the director revealed that they have long decided how to introduce them to the game.
Square Enix is making optimal balances to "Final Fantasy XV" and has yet to reach the final stages of balancing out the game. The goal is to keep the frame rate at 30 fps, which the developer has only been able to reach at times presently. As for the game's resolution, Square Enix is expected to reveal it on its Uncovered event on March 30.
In addition to the resolution, the company is also expected to debut a Japanese trailer and show off a playable tech demo at the event. The Uncovered event's teaser trailer also states that the "behemoth event" will be revealing "Final Fantasy XV's" release date, unannounced content, and "all kinds of wonderful stuff never seen or heard before."
The event will be hosted by "Kinda Funny's" Greg Miller and Tim Gettys. "Final Fantasy XV's" Uncovered event will be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on March 30 at 7 p.m. PDT. Tickets sold out in one day so those who want to watch the event can do so through Square Enix Present channels on YouTube and Twitch.
"Final Fantasy XV" is slated to release within the year for the PS4 and Xbox One.
