The film will explore Dory's journey of finding her parents. Fans can expect to shed tears in the upcoming film.

The president of Pixar, Jim Morris, shared some details about the upcoming film. He said, "The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised. We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others."

It was previously reported that Pixar altered its plotline due to a Sundance film titled "Blackfish." "Finding Dory" was supposed to end at a marine park. However, "Blackfish" illustrated the dangers of a marine park that led to Pixar's decision to change the plot.

"Finding Dory" will have Ellen DeGeneres reprising her role as Dory. She will be joined by other stars such as Albert Brooks, Willem Dafoe, Diane Keaton, and Idris Elba. However, Nemo will no longer be voiced by Alexander Gould since the actor's voice has already deepened. Instead, the role of Nemo will be played by a new cast member named Hayden Rolence.

The upcoming film will be released in theaters June 17 in the United States and July 29 in the United Kingdom.
