5 alternatives to 'woke' companies
2. Jeremy’s Chocolate and Jeremy’s Razors
After the chocolate manufacturer Hershey announced its partnership with a trans-identified man for International Women’s Day last month, Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing launched Jeremy’s Chocolate. “Our friends over at Hershey’s, they don’t even know what a woman is,” he says in an ad announcing the unveiling of the new brand of chocolate bars.
“They’ve hired a biological male to be the spokesperson for their [International] Women’s Day Campaign,” Boreing added, noting the reason behind his decision to introduce Jeremy’s Chocolate, which comes in two flavors: SheHer and HeHim (with nuts).
The names of the two types of chocolate bars reflect the fact that the effort to accommodate LGBT ideology and those who do not identify with either biological sex has resulted in people identifying their pronouns as “She/Her” and “He/Him” in business communications and social media. Boreing highlighted one key difference between the two types of chocolate bars he manufactures: “One of them’s got nuts. If you need me to tell you which one it is, keep giving your money to Hershey’s.”
Boreing’s comment alludes to the fact that the word “nuts” is also a slang term for testicles. Therefore, the SheHer bar is “nutless” while the HeHim bar has nuts. Boreing concluded the ad by urging people to buy his product “if you’re tired of giving money to woke corporations that hate you and you’re looking for a delicious chocolate bar from a company that actually wants your business.”
Both SheHer bars and HeHim bars are available for shipping in single quantities, 2-packs, 4-packs, 10-packs and 20-packs. A “chocolate binary” package containing both SheHer and HeHim bars can be purchased in 4-packs, 10-packs or 24-packs. Jeremy’s Chocolate is not the first business venture Boreing has embarked on in an attempt to fight back against major corporations’ hostility toward traditional values.
Boreing had previously launched Jeremy’s Razors after Daily Wire sponsor Harry’s Razors condemned the company’s view that “boys are boys and girls are girls” as “inexcusable” and a “values misalignment” that resulted in the two businesses severing ties. Products sold by Jeremy’s Razors include razors and shaving cream as well as other personal hygiene accessories including shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
