Worship artist Sean Feucht, well-known for hosting “Let Us Worship” rallies amid worship restrictions implemented during the COVID-19 lockdowns, took to Instagram Sunday to call for a “fast for America” in the wake of a second assassination attempt. Feucht maintained that “Talk is cheap, going online … and spouting rhetoric is cheap, posting Bible verses is cheap.”

“We need to fast and pray,” he asserted. “I feel so stirred in my spirit to gather people across the world that will fast and pray with me for the next three days.”

After Feucht described the two assassination attempts against Trump in a two-month period as “not normal,” he shared his intention to “do just water” and not consume any solid food during the fast, which he wants to take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. He acknowledged that not everyone would be able to take on such a challenge, while urging people to participate in some type of fast.

“Let’s start a movement where we fast and pray for our nation,” he said. “Let’s pray for God to move.”

Feucht cited Bible passages as evidence that “there’s a certain breakthrough that can only come when the people of God fast and pray.” He shared his belief that the fast was necessary because “we are in the midst of a spiritual war” due to “spiritual forces that want to take out our nation, that want to kill and sow chaos … into America, that want to cause fear and turmoil and we need to rise up in our calling as worshipers and intercessors to pray.”

The worship leader elaborated on the purpose of the fast, saying: “Let’s pray for protection for President Trump and his family. Let’s pray for wisdom and guidance. Let’s pray that God would expose these works of evil that are … wreaking havoc across our nation. Let’s pray for breakthrough, let’s pray for discernment. Let’s pray for God to move. Let’s pray for revival.”

“Let’s get in the spirit, let’s pray together and let’s ask God to move. Let’s ask Him to move in our hearts, move in our families, let’s ask Him to move in our communities and let’s ask Him to move in our nation.”

In an X post on Sunday, Feucht attributed Trump escaping the assassination attempt to “God’s divine protection,” noting that “Trump’s life was saved from one security guard seeing the muzzle of a gun through bushes and a chain-link fence!”
