3. Chris Christie: 'Being indicted never helps anybody'
While Musk forecasted a political benefit to Trump in the event of an indictment, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie sees the matter a little differently. Christie, who competed with Trump for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination before becoming the first of his former rivals to endorse him after dropping out, insisted that "being indicted never helps anybody" during an appearance on ABC's "This Week" Sunday.
Former Pres. Donald Trump “only profits and does well in chaos and turmoil,” @GovChristie tells @JonKarl.

Christie pushed back on the idea that "the vision of a former President of the United States being processed, fingerprinted, [and] mug-shotted" would help his campaign, reiterating his belief that "being indicted, I don't think, ever helps anybody."
