Florida Wedding Mud Pit Fiasco: A Muddy Escape From Reality (VIDEO)

A couple wed Saturday in a Florida mud pit, after stating that the mud was their only "vacation from everything."

Carina Pasco became Carina Umphenour on Saturday after marrying the love of her life in a mud pit. The new wife said that her and her now-husband Kodie Umphenour had a very muddy first few dates.

"The first few dates we went on were mud-related," Mrs. Umphenour, told ABCNews. "We went and played on four wheelers."

Now Umphenour explains that she and her husband have a vast collection of muddy vehicles, and see their mud adventures as a vacation away from reality.

"We have four mud trucks and seven four-wheelers. This is our life … the mud bog is our vacation from everything," the newly wed stated.

Not only did their relationship begin in a mud pit, but Kodie Umphenour also proposed in the mud pit. Both the engagement and the wedding took place at Hog Waller Mud Bog and ATV, a mud pit and four-wheeling outdoor adventure park in Palatka, Fla. Over 2,000 people, some of who received an invite not from the couple but the mud pit, also attended their wedding and actually paid $15 a ticket.

Charlie Matthews of Hog Waller was only too happy to participate in the affair, according to ABC.

"I asked them 'can I call it a big old muddy redneck wedding' and they said 'heck yeah, that sounds great,'" Mathews, who posted large signs advertising the event all around the venue, revealed.

Mathews described the wedding as a hit and a Hog Waller first, stating that the bride was both lovely and prepared.

"She had on a camouflage wedding dress … it was a very beautiful dress for being camouflage," he said. "She even wore an orange bikini underneath in case she fell in the mud."

As for being called a redneck, Mrs. Umphenour said she didn't mind, stating that she just knows how to have a good time.

"Being a redneck is nothing to be ashamed of. We're just like anybody else; we just have a different idea of fun," she said, adding: "It was amazing."
