Floyd Mayweather Apologizes After Violent Brawl, T.I. Refutes 'Black Eye' Rumors (VIDEOS)
Rapper T.I. refuted claims suggesting he sustained a black eye during a brawl with Floyd Mayweather over the weekend.
The Vh1 star, born Clifford "Tip" Joseph Harris, Jr., posted a video on social networking site Instagram in which he joked about the rumors. While his face did not appear to show any injuries, his right hand was covered in bandage due to being wounded during his violent brawl with Mayweather in Las Vegas on Sunday.
"Two black what?????? C'mon now. Never in da history of n-----dom. But nice try tho. Lol," T.I. captioned in the video.
"What they say? I got two black eyes? Where they at though? These ones I'm lookin' at? Are they black though, for real? Had them all my life. F----- my hand up though, that's about it," he is heard saying in the short clip.
The Instagram video was posted one day after Mayweather, an undefeated five-division world boxing champion, openly apologized to T.I.'s wife Tiny for calling her a "b----."
In the early hours of Sunday morning Mayweather and the hip-hop star, who were once thought to be friends, came to blows at a Fatburger burger joint on a Las Vegas strip allegedly over Mayweather's friendship with Tiny.
"Control your b---- m-----------!" Mayweather is heard yelling at Tip in a viral video of the fight.
Hours before the brawl Tiny, otherwise known as Tameka Harris, shared an adorable photograph of herself on Instagram alongside Mayweather's daughter Iyanna Mayweather, which reportedly upset T.I..
"Had to come celebrate with my new boo @moneyyaya Happy Birthday bae," Tiny captioned.
While the photo was innocent, it came a few weeks after the reality star shared another photo of herself partying with friends including Mayweather. Reports claim that upon seeing the most recent Instagram photo of Tiny, 38, and Iyanna, an enraged Tip, 33, confronted the boxing champion about his friendship with his singer wife, which sparked a "chair tossing" violent brawl.
"Only person I wanna apologize towards is Tiny," Mayweather told urban blogger NecoleBitchie.com referring to his "b----" comment.
"I don't want to say that about Tiny … she cool people, man. She cool," he added.
Tiny, who has not publicly addressed Mayweather's claims that the fight was about her, was not present during her husband's altercation with the boxer.
"I been knowing Tiny before T.I.," Mayweather explained "I've never slept with her, I never kissed her, never touched her in no inappropriate way."
