Floyd Mayweather Jr. Says Marquez 'Got Cheated' in Pacquiao Fight
Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally weighed in on the Marquez-Pacquiao bout Saturday, and the Filipino fighter ducking the highest paying boxing match in history.
Mayweather, WBC World Welterweight Champion, recently spoke to Fight Hype about the controversial third match in which his nemesis Pacquiao bested Marquez. Mayweather said he felt Marquez would never get a fair fight against Pacquiao.
"From what I'm hearing, Marquez got cheated," Mayweather said. "I truly feel that Marquez is never going to get the benefit of the doubt."

Mayweather, who easily bested Marquez in 2009, acknowledged that it has taken Pacquiao three times and counting to do the same job.
"I just feel like if you get it done right the first time, there's no need for a second or third fight, and if it is needed, do it again in the same fashion and in the same way, or do it even better," Mayweather said.
"People fail to realize, when I faced Marquez, I was two years off just traveling and vacationing. I went into training camp and then the fight had got pushed back because I had an injury, but I still went out there and performed and looked marvelous," he added.
Mayweather said there was a double standard when he fought Marquez, compared to Pacquiao's bout.
"When I fought Marquez, they said Marquez was over the hill," Mayweather recalled. "Remember, when I fought Marquez, I think he was 36 and I was 32. Now, two years later, Pacquiao is 32 and Marquez is 38."
Despite the speculation about Marquez' age, Pacquiao's trainer, Bob Arum, made it clear that he would like to see a continuation of Saturday’s fight.
“My advice to all parties is for an immediate rematch,” Arum said. “If both fighters agree, I’d like to do the rematch in May 2012.”
However, Mayweather said Arum is only asking for another fight with Marquez to stall Pacquiao from seeing him in the ring.
"I think (Arum's) very upset with me because, you know, I exposed and I opened the world's eyes up to different things,” Mayweather said. “I can't really say nothing about him because there's been a defamation of character case filed against me. In the past, I was able to criticize my opponents and talk trash in a playful manner, but I guess, you know, with me talking trash to Manny Pacquiao I got a lawsuit."
