Floyd Mayweather News: Adrien Broner Calls out 'Big Bro' Mayweather in Front of Arena Crowd, Floyd Jr. Laughs It Off
The personal relationship between "brothers" Adrien Broner and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has turned sourer.
The rift between the two men has been going in for the past few months now, with both camps exchanging harsh words and tirades. The height of it was witnessed on Friday, after Broner defeated Mayweather Promotions fighter Ashley Theophane in Washington, DC.
"The Problem" was able to end the bout via a ninth round stoppage, but lost his WBA light welterweight title after failing to make weight, the day prior to the fight.

Right after the fight, Broner went on to shift his attention to the man he once referred to as his "big bro". In a report by David P. Greisman for Boxingscene, the younger boxer ripped on Mayweather for 'talking bad' about him in previous interviews.
Floyd Jr. had been critical and vocal about Broner's antics outside the ring, to which the latter was evidently unhappy about. After claiming to be a man who had "learned sh*t from physical activity", the 26-year old professional boxer then issued a challenge to Mayweather.
"I'm a man at the end of the day, and I come from the streets, the trenches, I came from nothing, water and cornflakes," Broner said. "I will never let another man disrespect me. I don't care if [we're] sparring or fighting. Let's get it on."
Mayweather has been retired since he last fought in September, against two-time welterweight champion Andre Berto. He handily won the fight via a wide-margined unanimous decision, subsequently ending his 20-year career with a record of 49-0, with 26 victories by knockout.
Yet, despite being sidelined, many fighters, both boxers and mixed martial arts fighters have wanted a piece of "Money Mayweather." Broner has joined in on the fray, which Mayweather simply laughed at.
"Today was April Fool's and that was the biggest joke of the night," Mayweather said in another Boxingscene report. "I want him to continue to go out to go out there and fight, win. And that's important for Adrien is not just winning; life after boxing."
